The first days of summer are upon us! The weather is heating up and so are things around the center!
If you missed Public Schools Night you really missed something special. We had almost 150 people there, so many in fact we had to put a table in the hallway for the officers to eat at! All of the attendees were very thankful for their awards, and the Principals were extremely complimentary of our Lodge and Freemasonry in general.
Now that June is here, we’ve got three fantastic opportunities to show how much we care by supporting our Rainbow Girls, Masonic Homes, and the Grand Master’s project. On June 9th, Rainbow will be having a Spaghetti Fundraising Dinner for their newest Grand Officer, Melanie Mazet. The cost is only $10 per person and the lodge will be matching all funds up to $750.
On June 13th we will have our annual steak fry at Dave Robert’s house, (thank you Brother Roberts!). Tickets are only $15 and include steak, libations, and lots of fun. All proceeds will go to the Masonic Homes. It’s very important that you come out to this event and support our Masonic Homes, as you know, they provide much needed relief to many of our brothers and their families across the state. th
Speaking of Libations, we will be having our first annual Festive Board on June 27 . The cost is $50 per person and you will receive a fantastic chef-prepared meal, plenty of drinks for toasting, and your own souvenir shot glass to take home with you. This is going to be an extremely enjoyable event and certainly a first ever for Orange Grove. Please invite your spouses and friends, this event is open to all, however, we have a limited number of tickets so grab them while you can! All proceeds from this event will go to the Grand Master’s project, Firefighters in Safety Education – Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.
We will be dark on June 16th due to having to host the District Officers School, but we will resume normal operations on June 23rd with one, possibly two second degrees, and finish off the month with a third degree.
Keep your eyes on the calendar for any changes, and if you aren’t on the event mailing list, please give one of the officers your email so that you can stay informed of everything that’s going on. This is going to be an active and fun year! Remember that a lodge is like every other organization in the sense that it is built on the relationships between its members – you can’t build those relationships if you aren’t here.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
