What a great month June was! As many of you know, we had three major fundraisers going on this month, and I’m proud to report that all three were a great success! The spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Rainbow netted $200 more than needed, the Masonic Homes Steak Fry managed to bring in $361 after expenses, and the Festive Board for the Grand Master’s Project made somewhere around $1,000. Of course, none of this would have happened without your support so pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
Speaking of the Festive Board, if you were not able to make it out you missed a great time! Not only was it a success financially, but it was a huge success in the fun department. You can bet Mike Selix will be having the Second Annual Festive Board next year. =) A big thank you goes out to Mike for all of his help putting the event together, to the officers and brothers who participated in setup, teardown, food prep, serving, etc., the ladies who decorated, and especially Brother Pete Armington who volunteered to be our chef and created such wonderful food for us to enjoy. You all worked so hard; thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Don’t forget that this month we have our picnic, which will be held at Irvine Park, as well as our community appreciation night where we honor our Police, Firefighters, and City workers. Please come out and support them; let’s show them that their service is important to us.]
And speaking of service, if you are an active duty Service Member, a retired Service Member, or you have any immediate family members that are Service Members, we want to know. We’d like to send out masonic birthday and Christmas cards to all of our people who are serving this great country.
Thank you all for making my year as wonderful as it has been so far, and I look forward to the next half of this year!
Don’t forget to check the calendar for events and make sure to get your name in on the email list.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
